Well, sort of.

There are a number of ways you can earn money for zero outlay when you own a convenience store. Some of the methods we have identified are:

• Dry Cleaning Agency - Earn 25% of the fee for simply collecting and dispensing clothing items
  

• Drop Shop - Get paid by UPS, Amazon, Hermes and others for acting as a collection point
  

• Book/CD Exchange - We operate a book/CD exchange whereby people can exchange books or CD's for free or purchase them for £1. All of the books and CD's are donated by customers thankful for having somewhere to offload their old stuff. Every book or CD sold is 100%  profit
  

• Business Card Wall - We have a business card wall where local trades can place their cards for £5 per month. We have around 20 businesses advertising in our shop through this method. Once you pay for the receptical, all ad revenue is 100% profit
  

• Cash Machine - If you have a high footfall business, cash machine operators will happily place a machine in your store and pay you a small transaction fee for each withdrawal. Although the fee is small, if there are hundreds or thousands of transactions per month, this can be very lucrative. The cash machine operator covers all phone line and call costs so there is now outlay on your part.
  

• Childrens Coin Operated Ride - If your premises allow space for it, childrens coin operated rides can also pay you a proportion of the take each month
  

• Digital Display Ads - You could charge businesses a fee to have their ad displayed on the digital display behind the counter.
  

• Gift Certificates - Offer gift certificates, research shows that 30% of gift certificates are never presented
